Your MacBook Pro with Retina display will become a lot more functional and secure with this lightweight docking station. This quick loading DOCK brings you a Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt passthrough, HDMI port, USB 3.0 port, and a Kensington Security Slot. No need to plug in cables each time you connect, just leave your cables plugged in to the LandingZone and dock your MacBook. You can also connect a lock to secure both the LandingZone and the MacBook. This device works with the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display Model A1398.Designed for MacBook Pro Model A1398 first released in 2012. Allowing connection of two monitors and a USB hub with its built-in HDMI, Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt passthrough, and USB 3.0 port. The USB 3.0 port also allows for the charging of devices such as iPads or iPhones.
Locks your MacBook Pro using its built-in Security Slot compatible with most Kensington laptop locks (may not be compatible with ClickSafe locks). A solid steel bar runs through the LandingZone to both wings, securing the entire system when a lock is in place. The LandingZone and MacBook will remain locked even if the release lever is broken off.
After docking, other ports on the MacBook remain accessible: a Headphone port, SDXC card slot, a Thunderbolt port, and a USB 3.0 port (all separate from those on the dock). The LandingZone also has a slot for the MacBook MagSafe 2 power adapter, so it will connect automatically every time you dock. Does not work with MagSafe to MagSafe2 converter.
Single-step, dual displays: Mini DisplayPort supports Apple Thunderbolt Display, other non-Thunderbolt monitors and Thunderbolt devices; HDMI supports external displays, TVs, and monitors.
